new york imposes 60-day moratorium on insurance cancellations

By executive order issued March 29, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo imposed a moratorium on insurers cancelling, non-renewing or conditionally renewing any insurance policy issued to an individual or small business for a period of 60 days. For purposes of the order, small business means any business that (1) is resident in NY, (2) is independently owned and operated, and (3) employs 100 or fewer individuals.
